The project integrates the internal activities of the building with the existing square. The renovation of the Market Hall and the Largo is associated with a plan for the urban rehabilitation of the central region of Piracicaba. The architectural intervention seeks to recover the original core of the building, inaugurated at the end of the imperial period, and to eliminate the numerous and precarious additions, replacing them with two entirely new blocks. The intention is to dissolve the limits between the building’s interior and exterior, preserving the current perimeter.
