The house is located on a 24,000 m² site next to the Piracaia lagoon, in the northeast of the state of São Paulo. Half of the land has a large forest, and should be preserved.

The project intended to implant the construction on the highest part of the land, deforested, in order to open to the view and the best insolation. At the same time, the implantation establishes a close relationship with the trees. A 250 meter long path, shaded by vegetation, leads to the edge of the lagoon. In the middle of the path, a water tank serves as a belvedere.

The terrain has been kept in its original topography, without movement.

The organization of the programs is done in three pavilions: sleeping, living and playing, but interconnected in a single construction, 80 meters long. This concrete volume, with longitudinal facades to the north and south, is supported sometimes on a central pillar, sometimes on a concrete curtain wall, sometimes on the foundation itself.

On the south face, the glass enclosure is aligned with the house’s limit and configures a linear circulation along its entire length. This gallery functions, in front of the bedrooms, as a library. To the north, the fences are set back to guarantee balconies as a continuity of the internal environments. In the living room the balcony is deeper to house the oven and dining area. The design of the diagonal window frames accommodates the proportion between indoor and outdoor areas, avoiding undesirable parallelism for acoustics. Sets of ramps interconnect the three pavilions and adapt the ceiling heights to the uses of the environments.

A small cobblestone access road leads to the entrance patio of the house, slightly unlevel. A wall unfolds from the cross base and protects the house from the neighbors. At the same elevation on the other side is a square where the swimming pool mirrors the horizon. Below, nestled into the level, are the service bedrooms, laundry room, sauna, and changing room.
