The project to adapt this unoccupied industrial building for the art/city event seeks, besides revealing the spatial virtues of the original construction and reorganizing its infrastructure, to establish a frontal relationship with the city in its broadest sense. The inherent complexity of a vertical factory guarantees the building a spectacular quality, visible in the eloquent concrete structure, in the huge ventilation ducts that stick to the ceilings, and in the spatial continuity of the plant, which once housed a go-kart track on one of its floors. The project merely redeems this remarkable artifact for public use, for the city. It removes walls, opens doors, connects entrances. For those who enter, the surprise of an exhibition that seeks in the building and in its memory its greatest expression.
